Wilma Córdova, trainer, founder and President of Mind 2 Body Works LLC is a 40-year-old Puerto Rican, entrepreneur and multifaceted, who has worked as a computer engineer, nurse and now personal trainer and businesswoman.
Wilma began her career at the age of 16 studying Computer Engineering at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez campus and then worked as an engineer at IBM in Raleigh, North Carolina for more than 6 years from 2004 to 2010.
Wilma has always had a passion for helping others and for this reason she decided to change her career to nursing. She completed an accelerated bachelor's degree in nursing from 2011-2012 at Duke University in Durham, NC. She then worked as a nurse for several years in the pediatric area of the UNC (University of North Carolina) hospital, as a Travel Nurse in the pediatric oncology area at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, and at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance ( SCCA ), University of Washington Cancer Clinics in Seattle, WA. She returned to Puerto Rico to work as a nurse auditor and consultant at Humana.
During these changes, her passion for exercise and physical activity grew and she decided to become a certified personal trainer in 2019. Wilma now continues to serve others and promote good health through fitness training and education. Her vision is to promote holistic health, which consists of the balance of physical, mental and social health. For this reason, in addition to the exercises, she wants to bring positive messages to the community that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
